Shigeru Kan-noA japanese composer and conductor in Germany. He studied singing, piano and musical thoery in Fukushima with Takeo Endo, Kazutsugu Saito, Chieko Saito and Kunio Suda. In Tokyo theory with Hideo Arashino, composition: Takehito Shimazu and Akira Nishimura, piano: Yuoko Ozaki and Masako Hoshide, conducting: Kikuo Matsumoto and Kazuhiko Sakamoto. In Vinna with Karl Oesterreicher and Leonard Berstein. In Stuttgart with Helmut Lachenmann for composition, Erhard Karkoschka for electrical music and orchestration with Milko Kelemen. Cinema music with Cong Su in Ludwigsburg. In Frankfurt composition with Hans Zender and conducting Hans-Dieter Loesch. His reperoire as a conductor over 100 operas and 700 concert pieces. He is a improvisor with piano, organ, violin, cello, percussion and leier. As a pianist for contemporary music played Boulez, Stockhausen, Lachenmann, Felman, Scelsi, Paert, Berio, Sati, Karkoschka, Blume, etc. He gets over 34 times competition of composition and conducting, and over 16 times bursaries. He conducted already variable orchestras, choirs, ensemble for new music, brass band, posaunenchor, operas, performance, etc. He critced as a critic variable CD and concert by other musiciens and as a teacher teached so many piano, theory, composing, singing, conducting, etc. He was a july for Internatiuonal Composing Competitions and Singing Competition. His own works are more over 224 in WVE-number only and 10 electric music. His music is very sensible but strong and so much colourfull. He used all categories in classical territory. He use all musical tecnic if possible: tonal, atonal, chance, noise, pentatonic, hexatonic, seriel, micro tone, free from, electroric, minimal, no repetation, counterpoint, harmony, folkmusic, jazz, concrete, voluntary, etc. He loves very huge orchestration and very long timming to perform like Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler, Arnold Schoenberg, Havergal Brian, Oliver Messiaen, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, LaMonte Young , etc. He is living now as a free composer and conductor in Westerwald/Germany.
