Shelagh Delaney

Shelagh Delaney (b. November 25, 1939) is a British playwright of Irish descent. Her works include: Her works have formed the inspiration of several songs written by the British singer/songwriter Morrissey, who featured her on the sleeves of the Louder Than Bombs album and Girlfriend in a Coma single by his band, The Smiths. A Taste of Honey was filmed (1961), with Rita Tushingham, and was the key film which ushered in the British new wave in cinema. Delaney, Shelagh
