Shaw Festival
The
Shaw Festival
is a major Canadian theatre festival in
Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario
. Founded in
1962
, its original mandate was to produce plays written by
George Bernard Shaw
, or plays written in his lifetime (
1856
-
1950
). In
2000
the mandate was expanded to include plays set within that time period. List of artistic directors:
