Sextet

A Sextet is a formation containing exactly six members. It is commonly associated with musical groups, but can be applied to any situation where six similar or related objects are considered a single unit. In jazz music a sextet is any group of six players, usually containing a drum set (pedal bass, snaredrum sometimes brushed, top hat cymbal, brushed cymbal), string bass or electric bass, and groups of one or two of the following instruments, guitar, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, or trombone. Six humans sharing the same gestational period are called sextuplets and are usually all born within a short period of time.
