Seu OsnyOsny Salimento Kieslowski aka: Seu Osny, Green-belly, born on July the 4th 1950 in the small country town of Campo Magro. Had his first contact with bocha through his grandfather, a local champion in their small town. Little is known about his childhood besides that he was an introspective child, prone to reading, had very few friends, spent most of his time indoors and learned how to read at the young age of four.Lost both his parents at a tragic boat accident when he was fourteen and then moved to Piracicaba to live with his aunt. During the early 70's through the early 1980's helped found with fellow Brazilian Caetano Veloso the Tropicalismo movement. On April the 5th 1975 in the city of Pelotas, several people witnessed in awe the uncanny bocha record estabilished by Seu Osny, the record still remains unbroken after almost 30 years. An Annual Tournament, named "Seu Osny Intercup" as a homage to Seu Osny, has been created in 1999 and a prize of US$5000 has been offered to any one who breaks the record during the tournament, it has accumulated to US$25000 up until the last time it was held, in 2003. Players from all regions in Brazil come in hope of fame and money, but so far no one has proved to be up to the chalenge He suffered a severe heroin overdose in the 80's and since then has been keeping a low profile avoiding the media.
