Setbal (District)Setbal is a district situated in the south of Portugal. It is delimited by the districts of Lisboa and Santarm on the north, the district of vora on the east, the district of Beja on the south and the Atlantic Ocean on the west. It has an area of 5064 km and had 788 459 resident people (as in 2001). Its capital is Setbal. Most of the following municipalities will be incorporated in the Metropolitan Area of Lisboa and Tagus Valley, to be created soon; only Alccer do Sal, Santiago do Cacm and Sines will be tranfered to the Atlantic Alentejo. It is formed by the following municipalities:
