Sekula DrljevicSekula Drljevic was a Montenegrin separatist and Nazi collaborator who was born in Ravni, Moraca in 1884. His anti-Serb adaption of the song "Oj Svijelta Majsa Zoro" has been adopted by many modern-day Montenegrin separatists as an unofficial national anthem of Montenegro. The song itself was supposed to be combined with the Serbian national anthem, "Boze Pravade" in alternating verses, though the motion to adopt this as the official anthem of the joint state of Serbia and Montenegro was struck down after objections by Serbian Orthodox leaders. Drljevic himself is described by some as a 'true patriot' and by others merely as 'a Fascist and a Nazi'. He led the group of Montenegrin separatists that established the 'Provisional Administrative Committee of Montenegro' as a collaborationist organ of the Italian government on 17th April 1941 at Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. He became the leader of 'Independent Montenegro' for just a day, on July 12th, 1941 under the auspices of Hitler and Mussolini, and he was deposed by popular movement the next day. He also deceived and led to their deaths thousands of Montenegrin citizens in 1944 and was declared a war criminal by The State Commission for Establishing the Crimes of the Occupiers and Their Helpers in the February of 1945. He was killed later that year in Judenburg, Austria.
