Seattle-tacoma Box Company

The Seattle-Tacoma Box Company was founded as the as Queen City Manufacturing Company in 1889 by Jacob Nist. It was located south of Lake Union in Seattle, Washington, USA, on the Northeast corner of Thomas and Rollin (later renamed Westlake Avenue N.). The telephone number was 738. In 1905, Jacob's eldest son Michael took over the company moving it to the southeast corner of 4th Avenue S. and S. Spokane Street in the Industrial District of Seattle and renamed it the Seattle Box Company. It is currently called the Seattle-Tacoma Box Company and located in Kent, Washington. The company manufactures a variety of wood, corrugated and plastic products for packaging. Besides the corporate headquarters in Kent Washington, the company has facilities in Tacoma, Washington, Vancouver, Washington, Yakima, Washington, Anchorage, Alaska, Stockton, California, Fowler, California, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Tauranga, New Zealand.
