Seattle Medium

The Seattle Medium is an African American newspaper that serves Seattle, Washington. It was founded in January 1970. Its parent company, the Seattle Medium Newspaper Group, also publishes the Seattle Metro Homemaker, the Tacoma True Citizen (Tacoma, Washington), and the Portland Medium (Portland, Oregon). It also owns the Seattle radio stations KRIZ-AM 1420, KZIZ-AM 1560, and KYIZ-AM 1620, as well as the Portland station KBMS-AM 1480. It bills itself as "the largest African American owned and operated communications company in the Pacific Northwest."
