seamus mcfly

Seamus McFly is a fictional character in the Back to the Future films. He is Irish by birth and together with wife Maggie McFly and brother Martin moved to America in the 1880's. Seamus and Maggie reside in Hill Valley, California by 1885 with son William, born in April of that year. Seamus is played by Michael J Fox. Seamus' brother Martin died before 1885 in Virginia City, after being stabbed whilst trying to prove he wasn't a chicken. As such Seamus has learnt that fighting is not the answer and will walk away from a fight rather than being goaded into one - not because he is a coward, but because he knows it doesn't matter what other people think of him. Seamus is a farmer by trade, owning and running a farm a few miles outside of Hill Valley and occasionally coming into town, where Buford aside, he is liked by all the townspeople. McFly, Seamus
