Scouting Sections

In the United Kingdom there are five training sections in the Scout Association.

Beavers

For young people aged 6 to 8. Beavers meet as Colonies with adult leaders.

Cubs

For young people aged 8 to 10.5. Cubs meet as a Pack with adult leaders.

Scouts

For young people aged 10.5 to 14. Scouts meet as a Troop with adult leaders.

Explorers

For young people aged 14 to 18. Explorer Scouts meet as Units based in the District. Explorer Scouts play a significant role in planning and running their programme with support from leaders.

Scout Network

For young people aged 18 to 25. The Scout Network is the responsibility of the Scout County and is run by its members with support from the County Scout Network Commissioner, County Scout Network Administrator and County Scout Network Leaders.
