Scorewriter

A scorewriter, or musical notation program, is software used to automate the task of writing and engraving sheet music. A scorewriter is to sheet music what a word processor is to written text. By far the two most popular scorewriters are: though there have been and to some extent still are many others (mostly less sophisticated and lower priced), including: A few scorewriters (principally Sibelius) also allow users to publish scores on the Internet. As a result, these can be used for electronic distribution of sheet music.
