Scene 14

Scene 14 deserves some recognition for forging ahead in the 1980's and 90's in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland music scene. Their original music was accepted due to the talent possessed by the unearthly musicians for that era. They were ahead of their time by 20 years. Because they faced many hardships introducing the original music scene it allowed many others to follow with more success. The vocals of lead singer Louise Surman Carr produced a sound now enjoyed by many of the likes of Pat Benatar or more current Christina Aguilera (also from Pittsburgh). The song writing was compared to Lennon-McCartney by Neil Carr and Howard Manns with many unique twists. They were on the WDVE Rocks album VOL. 2 with "Steal Your Heart Away" as EROS. They still reside in the Pittsburgh suburbs.
