Sbk Records

SBK Records is a record label started in the late eighties. Stephen Swid, Martin Bandier and Charles Koppelman form the production company SBK in 1989 after they purchase the music publishing division of CBS Records in 1986. They sell the company to EMI Music Publishing (for a reported $295 million) and launch SBK Records. The label has several hits with Vanilla Ice, Wilson Phillips, Technotronic and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. SBK Records is now a part of The EMI Group, but is not releasing new records. Martin Bandler runs EMI's music publishing division.
