Sara M'bodji

Sara M'Bodji (born c. 1955) is a female musician from Mali, West Africa. She plays kora and sings traditional and contemporary lyrics. According to her own statement she was one of the first women to be allowed into the professional group of the Griots which has otherwise been strictly reserved to men. Little else is known about her.
