Sanrio

Sanrio is a Japanese company that creates a range of anthropomorphic animal characters, and sells/licenses various products branded with these characters. It was founded in 1960 by Mr. Shintaro Tsuji. Its best known character is Hello Kitty, a white cat with pink bow that is one of the most successful marketing brands in the world. In late 2003, Sanrio won a Top Brand with a Conscience award from the Medinge Group of Sweden for its communication principles.
