Sandra Roelofs

Sandra Roelofs Saakashvili (born December 23, 1968) is the Dutch wife of the President of Georgia, Dr. Mikhail Saakashvili. She graduated the Institute of Foreign Languages in Brussels and the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg. She worked as a business consultant advising foreign countries about investments in Georgia. In 1995-1997 she was a Vice-Consul of the Netherlands in Tbilisi. In 1997 she founded the Humanitarian Foundation "Soko". Roelofs met her husband in Strasbourg, in 1993. They have a son Eduard. Roelofs, Sandra
