San Zeno Naviglio is a commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. It is bounded by other communes of Brescia, Borgosatollo, Flero and Poncarale. It is located 6 km from the mountains. It is connected with the A21 (first pronunciation: ah)

History

Although the existence dates back to the Roman times (ritrovamenti of stones to death Roman near the Pontevica Shack) During the Lombard and the Carolingian times, the place was first documented in the 15th century. The locality called Tregonzo or Tregoncio, derives from Latin: Inter Gurgites During the Ventian times, the locality was organized into Mairano and in 1483, it passed to quadra di Bagnolo. In 1893, the railway construction continued and opened railway lines linking Saint Zeno - Piadena and Iseo - Brescia - Parma - La Spezia. After Second World War the population grew. It reached 2,000 in the 1960s and 3,000 in the 1980s. Manufacturing company expanded and opened plants like SETA in the 1950s and Duferdofin in the 1970s.
