San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico

San Lorenzo (Spanish Saint Lawrence) is a town in eastern Puerto Rico. Also called El Pueblo de los Samatitanos or La Tierra de Leyendas, San Lorenzo was founded in 1811 by Valeriano Muoz de Oneca. Its original name was San Miguel de Hato Grande. The surrounding areas produce tobacco and sugar canes.
