Saint Xaviers College

Saint Xaviers College is located in Kolkata, India and is named after St. Francis Xavier, a Jesuit saint of the 16th Century who travelled to India. The College was founded by the Society of Jesus, a Christian Religious Group started by Saint Ignatius of Loyola in 1540. Since its inception, the Jesuits have toiled in the field of education, among other things, and were even called the school-masters of Europe at one time. It has branches in different parts of India. The famous ones are in Kolkata and Mumbai. The one in Kolkata is located in Park Street and very well known for its commerce curriculum. The commerce department conducts college in the morning i.e. the students are done with classes by 10:00am and normally work during the day. It is very well suited for folks pursuing other professional certification like chartered accoutnants and cost accountants. It is know for its excellent faculties and strong sense of disciple.
