Saint-quentin-en-yvelines

Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a communaut d'agglomration in the French dpartement of Yvelines. It a new town named after the Saint Quentin Pond, which was chosen to become the town's centre. In 2003, the metropolitan area had a population of 145,966. It is part of the much larger Paris metropolitan area. The communaut d'agglomration is made up of seven communes: Of these communes, Montigny-le-Bretonneux is the most centrally located and has the largest population. The population of the whole communaut d'agglomration has grown almost tenfold in the last 40 years, from a population of 15,118 in 1962. Its president is Robert Cadalbert.
