Saint Joseph's College, New York

Saint Joseph's College is a private Roman Catholic university in New York, with its main campus located in the borough of Brooklyn, and a branch campus located in Suffolk County. St. Joseph's College is known for its liberal arts programs. St. Joseph's College was founded in 1916 as the St. Joseph's College for Women. In 1970 the name was changed to St. Joseph's College and males were allowed to enroll for the first time. In 1971 St. Joseph's started an upper division extenstion program in Brentwood, New York. Three years later, this branch campus became a full four-year program. In 1979 the branch campus moved to its current location in Patchogue, New York. In 1995 St. Joseph's began offering its first graduate degree.
