Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla

overseas territory
in the
Caribbean
. It became a province of the
West Indies Federation
in
1958
. When this country broke up in
1962
it reverted to British rule. The territory was granted full internal autonomy in
1967
, and
Anguilla
was separated in the
1970s
. The remaining part became the independent country of
Saint Kitts and Nevis
in
1983
. Anguilla remains a
British overseas territory
.
