Saffron Walden County High SchoolSaffron Walden County High School was the first school in Britain to be built since World War Two. Built by local workers in the distric of Uttlesford, in Essex, it had and continues to have a strong link with the local community as well as nationally and abroad. Being one of the first Technology Colleges in the UK it pioneers in its field with its students winning awards and scholarships yearly. SWCHS is part of the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Education and has recently been designated as one of the highest ranking Training Schools in the country. Complete with newly built classroom observation theatres enabling trainees to watch classes without students being aware they are watching them and a newly built lecture theatre and cinema its simply the most exciting school in the UK.
