S'express

S'Express (pronounced ess-express; sometimes spelled S'Xpress or S-Express; otherwise known as Victim of the Ghetto) were a British dance music act from the late 1980s. They had a big hit with "Theme from S'Express". The main player in this trio was DJ Mark Moore, who went on to release albums on his own, and forming the band Needledust. Sonique (real name Sonia Clarke), the vocalist, also enjoyed brief solo success in the late 1990s. S'Express was one of the outfits to pioneer acid house, one of the earlier versions of house music.
