Rustichello Da Pisa

Rustichello da Pisa was a romance writer who was imprisoned with Marco Polo in around 1279 during the war between Venice and Genoa, two rival Italian cities. During this time, Marco had dictated his tales of travel to Rusticello. Together they turned it into a book known as Il Milione or, in its English name, The Travels of Marco Polo.
