Rush Hour (Movie)

Rush Hour is a 1998 martial arts/buddy cop film starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. A sequel Rush Hour 2, was made in 2001. Rumors continually claim that a second sequel is in the works; it would feature the two in New York and Paris. However, no significant progress has been made on the film.

Plot summary

Chan plays a detective inspector Lee, who has been sent to America from Hong Kong to investigate the kidnapping of Chinese consul Han's daughter, Soo Young. However, the FBI (who are working on the case themselves) do not want an outsider like Lee to interfere with their investigation so they palm him off with LAPD detective, James Carter (played by Tucker); a fast talking and comically arrogant police officer. When Lee and Carter realise they are being used, they set out to solve the case themselves. See also:
