Rumble Fish

Rumble Fish is a 1983 film directed, produced and co-written by Francis Ford Coppola, based on the novel by S.E. Hinton (ISBN 0440975344). The movie centres around Rusty James (Dillon), the leader of a small gang in an industrial town. Rusty's brother, The Motorcycle Boy (Rourke) re-appears on the scene when Rusty gets involved in a gang fight, breaking the treaty that he had established before disappearing two months earlier. The ensuing events cause Rusty's world to fall apart, but by the end of the film by following Motorcycle Boy's example he is able to escape the role that he has been forced to play.
