Ruben Ornedo

Ruben Ornedo was American computer engineer. He died at age 39 in the crash of American Airlines flight 77 in the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack. A resident of Eagle Rock, California, he was a satellite communications engineer for Boeing. He immigrated from the Philippines with his family when he was in grade school. He graduated from Fairfax High in Los Angeles and from UCLA in computer engineering. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, mountain climbing, and renovating his new house. He was survived by his pregnant wife of three months, Sheila, and his brother, Dr. Eduardo Ornedo. He was on an extended business trip to Washington, and originally scheduled to leave a week later.
