Royal Montreal Golf Club

The Royal Montreal Golf Club was founded November 4, 1873. It was the first golf club in North America. It is located in Île-Bizard, Quebec, which is part of the city of Montreal. The Royal Montreal Golf Club hosted the Bell Canadian Open from September 6 - 9, 2001. The Royal Montreal Golf Club has 3 courses. The first is the Blue course (18 holes and the PGA course), the second is the Red course (also 18 holes) and the third is the Dixie course (also known as the black course and is only a 9 hole course) The Royal Montreal Golf Club was moved from its original location on the island of Montreal to its current location on the island of Ile-Bizard sometime in the 1950's
