Royal Canadian Army Cadets

The Royal Canadian Army Cadets (RCAC) is a youth cadet organization affiliated with the Canadian Forces. The cadets are between ages of 12 and 18, and may be males or females. In rare instances, senior cadets may aspire to cadet officers ranks, which are not to be confused with the Officer Cadet rank of the Regular or Reserve Forces. There are 9 main study and application topics in cadets: Cadets not only attain ranks, but may attentd government run summer camps at Canadian Forces Bases, as well as various other inter-corps opportunities. They progress in their cadet careers through star levels: green, red, silver and gold, and eventually aspire to achieve the National Star Certification.
