Rosary Army

Rosary Army is a rapidly growing non-profit organisation dedicated to making, praying, and freely distributing all-twine knotted Rosaries. The motto of the apostolate is: "Make Them, Pray Them, Give Them Away". The organisation aims to enable all people to be able to pray the Rosary, which may include giving them a Rosary.

World Presence

The Rosary Army maintains an Internet presence, attracting thousands of hits each month. The website includes free Rosaries, multimedia talks, easy to follow Rosary-making instructions, as well as other information. The website attracts people of all ages, especially those without a complete understanding of the Rosary. In accordance with their motto, they encourage as many people as possible to make, pray, and give away these unique types of Rosaries. In an effort to keep in motion the momentum set during the Year of the Rosary, the Rosay Army takes advantage of any opportunity to mention their website. The Rosary Army has made custom Rosaries for disabled people, sent bundles of Rosaries free of charge to Catholic college students making missions to foreign countries, and provided Rosaries and supplies for soldiers, patients, religious orders, and lay people. Their Rosaries have been sent to all fifty of the United States as well as Malaysia, South America, Europe, India, Haiti, Iraq, and elsewhere. Their Rosary-making workshops and online instructions (available in both printed and streaming video formats) have taught countless people how to make these types of Rosaries to freely give away to people within their own parishes. They have been featured on Catholic Exchange and Sacred Heart Radio, as well as in the Marians of Divine Mercy's "13th of the Month Club" Newsletter and Envoy Magazine. They have also been mentioned in The New Catholic Miscellany (South Carolina's Catholic Newspaper), Catholic New World (Archdiocese of Chicago) and Envoy Magazine's online web journal, as well as many other places on the Internet. Pope John Paul II suggested that the Year of the Rosary be considered a springboard to further evangelization. Their goal is to continue from this springboard and bring more people to Jesus and Mary through the Rosary.
