Ronnie Gilbert

Ronnie Gilbert is a well-known folk-singer, one of the members of The Weavers. The Weavers was an influential folk-singing group that was blacklisted during a period of anti-communist hysteria, because their folk-songs honoured ordinary working people. Various well-known younger singers honour Ms Gilbert for the example she set for them, and the influence she had on their careers.
