Ronald D. Liebowitz

Ronald D. Liebowitz is the 16th president of Middlebury College. He succeeded John McCardell Jr as president on July 1, 2004 and was innaugurated on October 10 of that year. Before assuming the presidency he served as provost and executive vice president. Ron Liebowitz (as he is more commonly known) came to Middlebury as an instructor of geography in 1984 and became a full professor in 1993. Liebowitz has a passion for geography and is an authority on the politcal and economic geography of Russia. External Links
