Romulan WarbirdRomulan Warbirds are starships in the fictional Star Trek universe: the term Warbird is a general reference for a Romulan (or Reman) warship. Throughout , the D'deridex class Warbird was most prevalent: almost twice the size of a Federation Galaxy class starship, of which the Enterprise-D was an example, it was also believed to be slower and less powerful but to have greater firepower. In the feature film , a second type of Warbird was seen: the Norexan or Valdore class, which is smaller and much more maneuverable than a D'deridex class ship. In that same movie, the Scimitar, a very large, advanced Reman warship, was also designated a Warbird. D'deridex class Warbirds, and presumably other contemporary Romulan starships, are powered by an artificial quantum singularity.
