RomsdalRomsdal is the name of a valley and landscape in mid-Norwegian county Mre og Romsdal. The other two landscapes in the county is Nordmre, "North-Mre", and Sunnmre, "South-Mre". Romsdal's central city is Molde hosts the central administration of the overall county. The landscape of Romsdal comprises Aukra, Eide, Frna, Gjemnes, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Rauma, Sandy, and Vestnes. In the early Viking Age, before Harald Fairhair, Romsdal was a petty kingdom.
