Rokusaburo Michiba

Born on January 3, 1931, Rokusaburo Michiba (道場六三郎) was the first Iron Chef Japanese. He appeared wearing blue attire while ascending into Kitchen Stadium. He is considered one of the best Iron Chefs in history, debuting in 1993 and retiring on January 3, 1996, being pressured to find new ways of cooking numerous ingredients. As a result, Michiba chose Koumei Nakamura as the next Iron Chef Japanese. Now in his 70s, he has three current restaurants, one in Akasaka, as Poisson Rokusaburo, and two in Ginza, as Ginza Rokusan-tei and Kaishoku-Michiba.
