Rodez

Rodez is a city and commune in southern France, in the Aveyron dpartement. Population (1993): 26,794.

History

Rodez was the historic capital of Rouergue.

Sights

Rodez is an episcopal city since the 4th century, featuring an impressive 80 m tall cathedral. One of its specificities, is a completely closed western wall. Indeed this face was part of the city's defence wall.

Economy

Rodez is traditionally an agriculture trade center.
