Robert Lang (born December 19 1970, in Teplice, Czechoslovakia) is a professional Ice Hockey Center in the NHL, playing for the Detroit Red Wings. Currently playing for the Detroit Red Wings, Lang has played the 2001-2002 season and part of the 2002-2003 season for the Washington Capitals, and has previosly played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Boston Bruins, and the Los Angeles Kings. He was drafted by Los Angeles in 1990. His best season to date was the 2000-2001 season when he had 80 points. However, in the current (2003-2004) season, he had led the NHL in scoring at the time of his trade from Washington to Detroit, but shortly thereafter was sidelined with a broken rib, and has since yielded the lead in scoring to Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
