Robert Docking

Robert Blackwell Docking (1925-1983) American politician who servered as Governor of Kansas (1967-1975) Docking was first elected in 1966 as a member of the Democratic Party and served 4 two-year terms. Signed a bill establishing term limits on the Office of Governor to two consecutive four year terms. Docking was known for his commitment to farmers, small business owners and the environment. The son of Gov. George Docking (1957-1961) he was married to Merideth and the had two sons William and Tom. Internment in Kansas City, Kansas.
