Robby Gordon was born in Bellflower California January 2 1969. Currently Robby is regarded as the best NASCAR Nextel series road course driver. Most tracks in the Nextel series are oval shaped. However in the 2005 schedule, Infineon racewayhttp://www.infineonraceway.com/ and Watkins Glen Internationalhttp://www.theglen.com/ (both road courses) will test the skills of all Nextel Drivers. Robbys primary sponsor is Jim Beam Whiskey, his crew chief is Bob Temple and the car owner is Robby Gordon himself. Fruit of the Loom will have the temporary privilege of playing primary sponsor for 9 races in the 2005 season. Robby is 6 time off-road champion, has also raced in the following series: NASCAR Bush, NASCAR truck, Trans-AM, GTO, CART and Indy. Robby has also taken part in the famous 16 day Dakar Rally.
