River Rother, South Yorkshire

The River Rother is a river in the northern midlands of England, after which the town of Rotherham and the Rother Valley constituency are named. Its source is near Clay Cross in Derbyshire, and from there it flows northwards through North Wingfield, Danesmoor, Chesterfield, Whittington, Staveley, Renishaw, Eckington, Killamarsh, Beighton, Woodhouse, Catcliffe and Treeton to its confluence with the River Don at Rotherham. Its main tributaries are the River Drone, the River Hipper and the River Doe Lea. Some sections of the river are highly polluted, but the Rother Valley Country Park has been created around the section north of Killamarsh and east of Beighton. Rother Rother
