River Lark
The
River Lark
is a
river
in
England
. It is a
tributary
of the
River Great Ouse
. Rising south of
Bury St Edmunds
in
Suffolk
, it flows through that town,
Mildenhall
and
Prickwillow
, and joins the Great Ouse south of
Littleport
in
Cambridgeshire
. It is about 50km long. The
Environment Agency
has designated the sections from
Sicklesmere
to Bury St Edmunds, and from
Fornham St Martin
to
Isleham
as Flood Warning Areas.
There is a second, much shorter,
River Lark
also in Suffolk - it flows into the
River Deben
at
Martlesham
.
