Rickey Kipfer

Rickey Kipfer (born about 1955) is a Democratic politician from Broadway, North Carolina. Kipfer was the sole challenger to incumbent governor Mike Easley in the 2004 Democratic gubernatorial primary. Kipfer's campaign, widely dismissed by both Easley and his Republican challengers, included emphasis on eliminating the state income tax and creating a public corporation to pursue energy sources native to the state, particularly natural gas. Kipfer faced Easley in a statewide primary on July 20, 2004 and lost, attracting only 15% of the popular vote. Kipfer, Rickey
