rick crawford

Rick Crawford (born 1953) is an American politician and lawyer from the U.S. state of Georgia. In the 2004 election, he ran for the House of Representatives as a Democrat against the incumbent Phil Gingrey. He lost this race, gaining 43 percent of the vote to Gingrey's 57 percent. Crawford was born in Cedartown and was the first in his family to graduate from high school and college, graduating from Jacksonville State University. After college, he received a law degree and a master's degree in political science from Georgia State University and is currently completely a Ph.D. in political science. He has founded a successful law firm, focusing on real estate, family, criminal and juvenile law, and has also served as a municipal court judge in Polk County. Crawford has also served as an officer of numerous Democratic organizations.
