Richard X is a pioneer of the 2002 bootleg craze who went on to become a successful record producer. Bootleg songs released under the pseudonym Girls on Top: Hit singles produced by Richard X include:
  • "Freak Like Me" - Sugababes (UK #1, May 2002), a reworking of "We Don't Give A Damn About Our Friends"
  • "Being Nobody" - Richard X vs Liberty X (UK #3, March 2003)
  • "Finest Dreams" - Richard X featuring Kelis (UK #8, August 2003)
  • "Some Girls" - Rachel Stevens (UK #2, June 2004)
  • "Chewing Gum" - Annie (UK #25, September 2004)
"Finest Dreams" is taken from the album Richard X presents his X-Factor Volume 1, which also features guest vocalists Javine, Tiga and Jarvis Cocker, amongst others.
