Richard Ivey School Of Business

The Richard Ivey School of Business is one of the premier providers of business education in North America and is widely considered Canada's most prestigious business school. Affiliated with the University of Western Ontario, it was first established as a Department of Commercial Economics at UWO in 1922. By 1950 it had become a separate faculty at the university, and was later renamed the Richard Ivey School of Business in honour of businessman and philanthropist Richard G. Ivey. The Ivey School currently grants bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in business administration. A leader in the case method approach to management learning, it is the world's second largest producer of business cases in the world (after Harvard Business School). Carol Stephenson, former CEO of Lucent Technologies Canada, was appointed dean of the school in 2003.
