Rhynchoedura Ornata Rhynchoedura ornata, commonly known as the beaked gecko, is native to and can be found throughout the non-coastal regions of Australia. Its range covers New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and West Australia. It is nocturnal, and prefers desert habitats. About 50 mm long, it is reddish brown with tiny yellow, brown, and white spots. Its favored prey are termites. The beaked gecko is endangered in Victoria and is listed as a Schedule 4 species, requiring a license to own and written notice of any transactions involving it, according to Victorian wildlife laws.
