Reverberatory Furnace

A reverbatory furnace reflects heat (reverberates it) off a surface of refractory brick onto a material to be heated. The combusion gasses are drawn out in another direction, thereby avoiding having the gasses mix with the materials. Reverbatory furnaces are used in glass and metalmaking.
