Religion Explained

Religion Explained is a book by anthropologist Pascal Boyer about the evolutionary origins of religious thought. The book was published in 2002 by Basic Books (ISBN 0465006965). In Religion Explained, Boyer has presented evidence from many specialized diciplines including anthropology, cognitive science, linguistics, and evolutionary biology to support the idea that a naturalistic explanation of religion is possible.
